What does Clickable never send?

Updated

What you type into websites, your passwords, sign-in pages, embedded sections, and pages you haven't asked for help with.

  • What you type into a website’s fields, rich-text boxes (such as an email or chat message) or code editors. Clickable only knows whether a field is empty or filled.
  • Your passwords.
  • Sign-in pages of Cl@ve, Google, Microsoft, GOV.UK One Login, Government Gateway and NHS login: Clickable pauses there.
  • Sections embedded from other websites (iframes): they aren’t read at all for now.
  • Pages you haven’t asked for help with, and your browsing history.

Keep in mind that a page’s visible text can include personal details, such as your name in the header. Read more in Is Clickable safe?
