What does the blue ring on the page mean?

Updated

The blue ring marks the one thing to click next. The note beside it says what to do, and Clicky sits on the ring's corner.

When Clickable has worked out the next step, it draws a blue ring around that button, link or field, with a small note such as Step 2: Click “Payments”. Clicky, the blue pointer, sits on the ring’s lower-right corner.

  • The note gets in the way? Press × or Esc to hide it. Click Clicky on the ring’s corner to bring it back.
  • Typing in the field? The note tucks away while you type, so you can see what you’re writing.
  • Scrolled away? A small label says “Next step is above” or “below”. Click it to go back.
  • Can’t see the ring? The next step may be inside a closed menu. The note says so.

The ring never covers or blocks the page: you click the real button underneath.
